A NEW BEGINING

Welcome to our blog! This is our very first blog! We love keeping in touch with the ones we love by reading their blogs, since we all have busy lives! We had been talking about starting one and now is the best time! Last summer Peter joined the United States Air Force. He went to boot camp October 4th at Lackland AFB in Texas. From there he went to tech school. Lucky for him it was at the same base! He graduated tech school March 26th. We moved all our belongings from Washington to our first duty station, F.E. Warren, Cheyenne Wyoming. We arrived here Monday April 16th. We were put into temporary housing when we arrived here. Right after he graduated we were told we would have to wait at least a month or more for permanent housing. We received a phone call Monday, the same day we got to Wyoming, that they have a house for us! WOW! God is great! He provides for us! Since we moved our own things we were planning on unloading the truck into a storage until we got our permanent home. Thursday April 19th we signed our papers and moved in Friday the 20th. Things happened so quickly! We are so grateful! It saved us a lot of lifting and stress getting a storage unit.
The neighbors are awesome! They helped us unload the haul. So many kids in the neighbor hood for Malachi to play with! Lots and lots of playgrounds and things for kids to do. The weather has been gorgeous here, maybe a little cold in the morning but warms right up by the afternoon.
So much still to unpack. It will all come together in due time. Peter had to start his New Air Men training for this base the second day we were here. With having a 2 year old the best time to unpack is nap and bed time. It's also hard to stay inside with the amazing weather!
We are enjoying being a family again and starting our new life as a military family! We would like to thank everyone for their love and support while Peter was gone.
